@Stefan Kupstaitis-Dunkler Can you please confirm it is Ambari 2.5.0? I see that Line 302 where this is failing code matches Ambari 2.5.1 (not Ambari 2.5.0) 1. (Ambari 2.5.1) https://github.com/apache/ambari/blob/release-2.5.1/ambari-server/src/main/resources/common-services/ZEPPELIN/0.6.0.2.5/package/scripts/master.py#L301 2. (Ambari 2.5.0) https://github.com/apache/ambari/blob/release-2.5.0/ambari-server/src/main/resources/common-services/ZEPPELIN/0.6.0.2.5/package/scripts/master.py#L302 . By any chance have you recently upgraded your ambari ? Also the Agent? Are the RPMs are of same version. rpm -qa | grep ambari .

@Meeta Rathore One options can be, If you have Ambari Managed Cluster then use the "File View" to upload those files to HDFS and then get it to your Edge Node. https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/r2.7.1/hadoop-project-dist/hadoop-common/FileSystemShell.html#get # hdfs dfs -get hdfs://nn.example.com/user/hadoop/file localfile . - Else use some tools like "WinSCP" to post the files from Windows to Edge Node machine.

@Hugo Felix
Additionally from Ambari 2.5 onwards the Zeppelin View has been removed: https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.0.3/bk_ambari-release-notes/content/ambari_relnotes-2.5.0.3-deprecation-notices.html
. If you are using ambari 2.4 then please check the following: 1. Zeppelin Port is opened? ### On Zeppelin Host.
# netstat -tnlpa | grep 9995 2. Please chekc the Zeppelin logs to see if there are any recent errors? .

If after clicking on the "QuickLink" In sandbox then you might get the following URL for zeppelin:http://sandbox.hortonworks.com:9995/ . This URL will work if you have configured the "/etc/hosts" entry on your local machine (where you are opening the browser) to point localhost to sandbox.hortonworks.com . Else try replacing the URL to :http://localhost:9995/ . As the hostname "sandbox.hortonworks.com" may not have been specified on your local machine. You should add "sandbox.hortonworks.com" to your HOST machine (Where you are running browser). It is the machine which you have installed virtualbox/vmware on
On a windows machine you'll find your hosts file at
%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts - If you are using *nix system or Mac OS X it is simply /etc/hosts After editing the correct file on the host machine it should work

@Tania Khan The followign line indicates that you have entered wrong entries inside the "/etc/hosts" file of all the hosts. https://ildsm.:8440 is not reachable **Notice** an extra DOT at the end of the "ildsm." that is causing the issue here. . If you want to set the Ambari server host name as "ildsm" then the "/etc/hosts" file entry should be : Please remove the ".<domain> part from the "/etc/hosts" file entry. 10.xx.xx.xx ILDSM
192.xxx.xx.xx ILDSM1 . Also make sure that the following command returns the correct output: (On all hosts) # hostname -f Then restart the ambari server and register agents. Regarding correct hostname setup, Please refer to the following links: 1. https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.1.0/bk_ambari-installation/content/set_the_hostname.html 2. https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.1.0/bk_ambari-installation/content/edit_the_network_configuration_file.html .

@Hugo Felix Sometimes this happens when the notebooks are corrupted. So can you please try the following:
- Move the notebooks from "/usr/hdp/current/zeppelin-server/notebook" to some other directory and then try starting the Zeppelin again.
Example: # mv /usr/hdp/current/zeppelin-server/notebook /usr/hdp/current/zeppelin-server/notebook_OLD
# mkdir /usr/hdp/current/zeppelin-server/notebook
- Now restart the Zeppelin service. (OR)
If this does not resolve the issue then will suggest you to reinstall the "zeppelin" packages to restore interpreter.json. .

@Jonas Pfefferle You have mentioned that you are using "rhel 7.3" But your packages that are going to be installed are showing that it is using RHEL6 packages "hadoop.noarch 0:2.7.3.2.6.0.3-8.el6"
So please check your "/etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo" files to find out if you have copied an incorrect repo file there.
Remove any file there which is pointing to either centos6 or rhel6 and then do a yum clean all and then try installing the package again. You can get the "hdp.repo" file from this link according to your OS version: https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.5.1.0/bk_ambari-installation/content/hdp_26_repositories.html . Example: # wget -nv http://public-repo-1.hortonworks.com/HDP/centos7/2.x/updates/2.6.1.0/hdp.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/hdp.repo
# yum clean all . Then try to install the desired packages.

@bhavik shah Can you try adding the "zeppelin.server.ssl.port" property to the "Custom zeppelin-config" from ambari UI to see if it works. Ambari UI --> Zeppelin --> Configs --> Advanced --> "Custom zeppelin-config" --> Add Property. .
