In addition to excellent resources/information provided by @Wynner, I just wanted to add: https://pierrevillard.com/2017/02/23/listfetch-pattern-and-remote-process-group-in-apache-nifi

Hi @Nikhil Chaudhary, At the moment this is not possible. However the NiFi community is currently working on it as you can see here with the below feature proposal: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NIFI/Variable+Registry Hope this helps.

Hi @Nikhil Chaudhary, At the moment, LDAP-group based policies is not possible, this is something we are working on and should be available in a short future. In the meantime, you need to add the users in NiFi and then add the users to the groups in NiFi to have group based policies. At the moment, LDAP is just here to authenticate the users with a login and password, authorizations are only enforced using the username (and group memberships from NiFi only). Hope this helps.

In that case, what you call DATABASE (the server where your teradata is installed) must be reachable from all the NiFi nodes on port 1025. You can check if this working using the following command: telnet DATABASE 1025 If it is not working then it is a network related issue: you need to allow communication between NiFi nodes and the database.

Yes. You have the files installed when installing Java, but that's the default policies, not the unlimited ones. You need to download the files from the Oracle website and overwrite the files in this folder. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jce8-download-2133166.html

Hi @Oleksandr Solomko, Could you try to install unlimited JCE policy files in your Java directory on the NiFi nodes? I believe the server you are trying to access only accepts some specific algorithms that JSCH client won't be able to use unless you install the required files. Another option would be to allow weaker algorithms on the SFTP server side if that's something you want/can. But that is not something I'd recommend. Let me know if this helps.

Hi @Gowthaman Jayachandran, It looks like the JDBC URL you defined in the controller service is not correct and the host cannot be reached from the NiFi servers. What did you configure in the controller service: I believe this URL should be something like: jdbc:teradata://<host>:<port>/<DatabaseName> Hope this helps.

Non related to your question, but is your 503 issue related to: https://community.hortonworks.com/articles/76537/falcon-web-ui-is-inaccessiblehttp-503-error-and-am.html Depending of the HDP version you have, an external dependency must be downloaded from the internet to get Falcon UI working.

With plaintext, I believe default port should be 9092.
