hi all we have a problem to start the ambari server we try to start the ambari server after removing some services from ambari for now we get the error as
DB configs consistency check failed. Run "ambari-server start --skip-database-check" to skip. You may try --auto-fix-database flag to attempt to fix issues automatically. If you use this "--skip-database-check" option, do not make any changes to your cluster topology or perform a cluster upgrade until you correct the database consistency issues. See /var/log/ambari-server/ambari-server-check-database.log for more details on the consistency issues.
ERROR: Exiting with exit code -1.
REASON: Ambari Server java process has stopped. Please check the logs for more information.
You have mail in we try also the flag --auto-fix-database ( but not help ) [root@master ~]# ambari-server restart

Ambari Server 'start' completed successfully. and finally we not have choice and we start the ambari with skip --database check ambari-server start --skip-database-check so what the steps that neded in order to fix this isshue ?

if your ambari server is down then you cant call API in order to stop the services / components

but if from ambari we cant set it to 30m , then why API should work? from my understanding the value should set in XML , so what is the diffrences here ?

hi all log.retention.hours in kafka config is in hours when I set it to small value as 0.5h , and then restart the kafka service kafka service failed , seems because ambari not support this small value so , is it possible any way to by-pass this limitation ? and set the log.retention.hours for example to 30m ?

according to hortonworks INFO - https://supportmatrix.hortonworks.com we can learn that the latest HDP version is 3.1.0 and the latest OS REDHAT version that should support HDP 3.1.0 is 7.5 since we plan to use the REDHAT version - 7.6 for OS in the future and still we not know what is the next HDP version from HORTONWORKS is it possible to know what should be the BETA HDP version? that should be released by HORTONWORKS and the latest OS that should be support that version ?

I searched in the link and I sow the following details: for latest HDP version - 3.1.0 and ambari 2.7.3 the latest REDHAT OS is 7.5 for HDP 2.6.4 and ambari 2.6.1 I see the latest REDHAT version is 7.5 can you please approve this? ( or my search inst correct ? ) so version 7.6 ( REDHAT ) isn't approved to any product of HDP or amabri !

for now we are working with HDP version - 2.6.4 and ambari 2.6.1 with REDHAT version 7.2 we want to know what is the latest REDHAT version that is fit with - HDP version - 2.6.4 and ambari 2.6.1 actually we want to use the REDHAT version 7.6 , but we not sure if HDP - 2.6.4 and ambari 2.6.1 will work on REDHAT 7.6 version about HDP 3.0 version and the latest ambari version what is the latest REDHAT version that we can use for HDP 3.0 version and the latest ambari version ?
