AKH, While Mahout does not show as an installed service like Hive or Hbase, the Mahout libraries are included in CDH 5. >From a bash shell you can enter "mahout" and it will return the available Mahout commands. Further you can execute a bash "locate mahout" command and you will see the mahout parcels. I originally tried installing the Mahout packages and the Cloudera Manager, generated error messages, as it was already in a installed parcel, thus I uninstalled the packages. The documentation on the Cloudera web site is incorrect, please do not follow it. So in the end there is nothing you must do as it is already in the distro. I hope this helps.
