I see:
skipping sourcing equivalent of /etc/default/hadoop due to missing CDH_VERSION
Check to ensure that the CDH_VERSION variable is set to the correct value for the version of Cloudera Hadoop that you are trying to use.

FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.tez.TezTask:17:16
I suggest double checking your Hive query for correctness and reviewing your Tez logs to see if they hold additional clues.
