thanks a lot for your quick reply, it is an old cluster that used the Ambari to provision the services using the public repos.

@ask_bill_brooks Hi, I have a table with a lot of data and I want to make the data be sorted in the level of the table in order to not put order by in my queries. What I want is to sort the main table immediately instead of transfer this data to another sorted table because it is time consuming. The table has been created without sort by. Is there any way to alter the configurations of the table. For example alter table <table_name> order by <column>

Hi @Justee It would be helpful to community members inclined to answer your question if you included which version of the HDP Sandbox you're using, and on what OS and virtualization system (i.e., Docker, VirtualBox or VMWare) you installed it on.

well, as I said above, the credentials necessary to access Cloudera's private repository are not generally the same as those used to access Cloudera's website. You will not be able to access Cloudera's private repository without a Cloudera subscription. You can initiate the process for obtaining a Cloudera subscription by contacting the Cloudera Sales Team to find out more about subscription options, but before doing so you should understand that Cloudera Express was discontinued over a year ago now; please see the announcement here: Cloudera Enterprise 6.3.3 Released …scroll down to the subsection Important Note About Cloudera Express. This means that you are not going to be able to obtain a subscription in order to continue to use Cloudera Express.

Hi @Winne, Your question went into a thread that was over three years old. You would have a better chance of receiving a prompt and satisfactory resolution by starting a new thread. This will also be an opportunity to provide details specific to your environment that could aid others in assisting you with a more accurate answer to your question. You can link this thread as a reference in your new post.

Hi @shashidharh Someone with the requisite expertise in this area might yet weigh in on this thread, but I think the best way to get answers to these questions would be to get in contact with your Cloudera account rep and ask them. Failing that, you can always read the relevant section of the public docs for Cloudera Enterprise 5.16.x here: Managing Licenses …scroll down to the subsection License Expiration. As far as your use of a trial license, that same page says: You can use a trial license only once; when the 60-day trial period expires or you have ended the trial, you cannot restart the trial. With the trial license, you can upgrade to a Cloudera Enterprise license or downgrade to an express license. So if you, for example, inherited this cluster and you are not certain that a trial license wasn't used before it would be wise to not rely on using a trial license, because that option might have already been exhausted. Also, keep in mind that page was published quite a while ago, and Cloudera Express was discontinued over a year ago now; please see the announcement here: Cloudera Enterprise 6.3.3 Released …scroll down to the subsection Important Note About Cloudera Express. I would not expect a downgrade to an express license to now actually work in practice. It might, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Hi @it2manager Hopefully you are aware that earlier this year, Cloudera modified its policies and the binaries you are seeking to download are now only available in a private repository. If not, please see the announcement here: Transition to private repositories for CDH, HDP and HDF The same announcement describes new patch releases of Ambari, which are now required to access Cloudera’s private repositories, which now contain both newer and legacy releases of HDP. The credentials necessary to access this private repository are only available to active Cloudera customers with valid subscription entitlements to those Cloudera products.

thanks @ask_bill_brooks , it was a pleasure entering this channel. Even if the outcome is not what I like, I have the answer now on how to proceed and understand more about Clouderas principles.
