Policy created by ranger hbase plugin (when it was enabled) should have granted permission for ambari-qa user. Please check if this policy got deleted. And yes, you can add the user to policy.

As long as LDAP server's certificate is imported into the truststore used by usersync process, you need not have to edit the scripts or manually restart the services. Restarting from Ambari should just work.

In this case, you need to disable the plugin and it will fall back to default AclsAuthz

@Guilherme Braccialli - For managing ranger repo's from within Ambari, an admin user is created the first time (default name is amb_ranger_admin - see Advanced ranger-env section). The field you are referring to is the password for this particular user.

For complete cleaning of users from DB, please use the scripts provided by @bganesan@hortonworks.com above. REST API DELETE calls perform only soft-delete. Hard DELETE feature is still in the works.https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-205

Ranger does support NN HA from HDP 2.3. No need to update the active name nodes in Ranger repo config in case of failover.

DB Auditing support will be dropped in future versions. It is recommended to use Solr auditing.

If you have changed ranger admin password in Ranger UI, that needs to be updated in Ambari as well. Please update admin_password under Advanced ranger-env section.

You can change the JDBC URL to something like below. jdbc:hive2://<host1:2181,host2:2181>/;serviceDiscoveryMode=zooKeeper;zooKeeperNamespace=hiveserver2
