Thanks I had same issue after HDP2.6 upgrade. The install silently chnaged the seetings. 1- connect to Ambari 2- hdfs service > advanced config > Custom core-site and change this: hadoop.proxyuser.hive.groups = * hadoop.proxyuser.hive.hosts = * hadoop.proxyuser.hcat.groups = * hadoop.proxyuser.hcat.hosts = * This solved my issue as well ... The points of key are the following columns in Advanced ranger-ugsync-site. ranger.usersync.source.impl.class org.apache.ranger.ldapusersync.process.LdapUserGroupBuilder ranger.usersync.sink.impl.class org.apache.ranger.ldapusersync.process.PolicyMgrUserGroupBuilder There are no hints on the HDP 2.3.2 document.
