Are you using the latest sandbox? Your statement is correct if your pig version is 0.14+. In latest sandbox you should be okay which may mean you are not invoking hcatalog. are you executing from pig ambari view? If so, please check the box for -useHCatalog. In the grunt shell you need to pass the hcatalog parameter, there are a few ways of doing that. One way is to start pig grunt shell with pig -useHCatalog

I would start from scratch, clean up everything, yum erase ambari* rm -rf any ambari dir rm -rf /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/ambari*

What does the property in ambari-agent.ini on any of the agent hosts refer to? Look in /etc/ambari-agent/conf Does it say Ambari server host point to local host or an old Ambari server hostname?

I see your Ambari is version 2.2.0.0, try upgrading Ambari to latest 2.2.2.0. I'm hoping it will force updated configs. Other than that I would scan all tables in Ambari db for local host.

Take a look whether you're in proper database, I.e. use default; select statement
