Have you followed all requirements for install? Firewall, NTP, selinux, transparent huge pages? Also, please look at Ambari Views as Hue replacement on HDP. It's pretty good option as compared to Hue.

you also invested time in learning nifi, nifi has a cron based scheduler, would be interesting to see it leveraged for this use case. Look under scheduling tab https://nifi.apache.org/docs/nifi-docs/html/user-guide.html#Configuring_a_Processor

I would probably look at bulk extract options of MySQL, dump to flat file, then use listFile and FetchFile processors to another directory visibly by Oracle and bulk insert into that.
