I need to parse location sensor messages; instead of processing in Spark, i would like to try out in NIFI (HDF2.0), the messages are simple . I just need to split the content with ',' and then tranform it. I couldn't find the right process in NiFi, can you please help me on that? Thanks, SJ

Hi Kuldeep, The namenode is stopped as I cannot start it via ambari. I'm connecting from the private network so there shouldn't be any firewall rules issues. I had launched a cluster of HDP2.5 before and it deployed fine. This time I need to launch a standalone node which I run into this issue. ]# ps -ef | grep -i namenode
root 6366 5801 0 11:38 pts/0 00:00:00 grep -i namenode netstat -tulap| grep 8020 SJ

Hi, I cannot start NameNode during the installation of XXXX. It gives me the following error, 2016-11-30 01:23:51,115 WARN datanode.DataNode (BPServiceActor.java:retrieveNamespaceInfo(222)) - Problem connecting to server:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:8020 I do the installation on my local and so there is not applied firewall ;however, i ran iptables commands to disable firewall rules. When i do telnet to the 8020, it gives me the connection refused. Can you please help me? Should i change the namenode parameters and choose different port? SJ

Hi, I copied and extracted NiFi (nifi-1.0.0.2.0.1.0-12) on the server that has HDP2.5 on AWS. I changed the port in bootstrap file to 9090, NiFi was up for just 10 sec and then it goes down and It doesn't work anymore. When I start NiFi, there is no error on the logs at all but it shows the following info although I set the nifi.properties file to 9090. I also cannot start nifi on the following port (51583) that it mentioned. INFO [NiFi Bootstrap Command Listener] org.apache.nifi.bootstrap.RunNiFi Apache NiFi now running and listening for Bootstrap requests on port 51583 FYI: 9090 port is open and I also disabled the firewall rules. Any thoughts please? SJ

Thanks a lot, now it is working. Do you have any thoughts about the installation of HDF on a separate instance and "nfra Solr Instance Install" error that I get? SJ

Hi, I'm trying to install NiFi on the server and so I've done the following options but both fails : 1- Installing HDF 2.0 on a separate instance than HDP 2.5 but on the deploy step i get error "resource_management.core.exceptions.Fail: Execution of '/usr/bin/yum -d 0 -e 0 -y install ambari-infra-solr-client' returned 1. Error: Nothing to do" 2- Installing and extracting NIFI on the same server as HDP2.5, but although JDK 1.8 is installed on the server i get "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/apache/nifi/bootstrap/RunNiFi : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0" error. Can you please help me to fix my issue. Thanks,
