Hi Eric, did you solved the issue? I'm having the same problem when trying to use processors ConsumeKafka and ConsumeKafka_0_10 to read messages from kafka 0.10.1 (HDP 2.6 without kerberos). I did tests with different parameter settings and the processors starts without error but never receives the messages. I had same results executing the kafka-console-consumer shell with bootstrap-server parameter. Can you help me? Any idea of what's its going on?

Pierre solution is correct. If you installed Atlas after Ranger UserSync has been configured to use LDAP, new local users will not get synced in ranger like atlas. This user is needed to setup hbase tables. To fix, revert UserSync to UNIX, restart only Ranger UserSync, Switch back to UserSync LDAP config. In Ranger add user atlas to HBase all policy. Restart Atlas.

The issue was with a column that handled datetime in millseconds and needed the format as 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS,FF9' specified in NiFi and it worked.

@Pierre Villard OK, thanks a lot for the link once again - the article was very useful, although it's a shame that changes to custom properties are made just as NiFi gets restarted. This limits the use cases for this functionality.

@Pierre Villard @Andy Liang could you tell how to do the second approach you've suggest? "As a final side note: if you need to perform a login/password authentication like Basic Authentication (with HTTP headers), then you don't need all of this, and you just need to check the attributes sent by the user in the request with a RouteOnAttribute processor and using the expression language."
