Hello, Thank you for your update Can you please elaborate more on nslookup not working? Do you mean nslookup command is not available or the command is not returning any output? There is no mandate to have an external DNS server, the entries in /etc/hosts should be enough. What about hostname -f is it working?

Hello @Juanes Thank you for reaching out on this Can you please confirm what OS version are you using? Check the output of the following command and see if hostname is the correct one # hostname -f If hostname -f is not returning the complete FQDN then please set the FQDN correct and restart the cloudera-scm-agent and you should be good You might want to check the below discussion https://community.cloudera.com/t5/Support-Questions/The-hostname-and-canonical-name-for-this-host-are-not/m-p/19444

Hello @steinsgate Thank you for your update Yes please ensure that the DNS configuration is correct on the nodes. I mean to say that it should adhere to our documentation. Also, try resolving the hostname manually using nslookup from the nodes and compare the output from the working nodes and see if that works

Hello @steinsgate In case you want to completely remove the cluster. I would say we can think of the removing the namespace from the Openshift all together and then start fresh

Hello @steinsgate Thank you for raising this This looks to be a DNS issue on the host, Have you configured the DNS as per the below on the host The cluster generates multiple hosts and host based routing is used in the cluster in order to route it to the right service. You must decide on a domain for the services which Cloudera Manager by default points to one of the host names on the cluster. However, during the installation, you should check the default domain and override the default domain (only if necessary) with what you plan to use as the domain. The default domain must have a wildcard DNS entry. For example, “*.apps.myhostname.com”.
It is recommended that you leave IPv6 enabled at the OS level on all ECS nodes. https://docs.cloudera.com/cdp-private-cloud-data-services/1.5.3/installation-ecs/topics/cdppvc-installation-ecs-software-requirements.html Can you please re-check if the pre-reqs have been set up correctly. 2024/04/03 17:39:38 Error while getting account id. Get "https://console-cdp.apps.ecsm0.am.ocp.poc/authenticate/login": dial tcp: lookup console-cdp.apps.ecsm0.am.ocp.poc on 192.168.30.206:53: no such host

Hello @Juanes Yes it should be downloaded automatically in that case As per the error in the attached screenshot it seems the URL is wrong the correct one should be https://archive.cloudera.com/p/cm7/7.7.1/ in your case it is pointing to https://archive.cloudera.com/cm7/7.7.1/allkeys.asc (/p is missing) which is causing issues

Hello @Juanes Thank you for bringing this At this time, the documentation for setting up a local repo tells to download the repo-as-tarball file and untar that into the web server directory. If we follow this process, this will automatically include the allkeys.asc file, and therefore not have any problems. If we do not follow the new documented process, and instead use the old process of recursive copying the archive, then it is possible that we will miss getting the keys file. Yes there are some internal improvements JIRA raised to give more clarity on this to include the below as well in future versions It is important to include the allkeys.asc file at the top level of the package repository. This file is included in the repo-as-tarball file. Be sure to include it if manually copying the package files between hosts.
The allkeys.asc file is used to validate the signatures of the package files during host installation. The add host workflow will fail if this file is not available in the repository.

Hello @steinsgate Thank you for bringing this Since the cluster has been removed from the Cloudera Manager the only way I think would be to re-install Also have you followed the below document for uninstalling the cluster https://docs.cloudera.com/cdp-private-cloud-data-services/1.5.2/installation/topics/cdppvc-installation-uninstall-pvc.html
