Find hbase-site.xml

Hi, I am new to hadoop. I am configuring an application with hadoop and the application installation document states that I should copy hbase-site.xml from /etc/hbase/conf and place in one of the directories in the application server. However, I cannot see /etc/hbase/conf directory in the sandbox. I searched for hbase-site.xml file through putty but I can see many different versions of the file. Can you please help me in finding the right location of the file?
