External authentication issue

Hello, 

Kindly ask you to assist.

I am trying to configure external authentication but see the following error in log:

ERROR WebServerImpl:com.cloudera.server.cmf.WebServerImpl: Failed to configure external authentication. Server will act as if 'Database Only' authent
java.lang.RuntimeException: LDAP configuration is incomplete

I fugred out there are some fileds that are mandatory so need to be filled in but CM does not state that it is mandatory

Hi,

I am glad you solved the issue.  I agree that Cloudera Manager should help guide you about mandatory LDAP configuration in the UI, so I have opened a feature improvement Jira to request we look into that.
