Facing issue while uploading data in Hive

Hi All,

We are getting error message while accessing Hive, "H100 Unable to submit statement show databases like '*': org.apache.thrift.transport.TTransportException: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe" Also while uploading data using CSV from local, it says "Cannot read property errors of undefined". Kindly please guide me to resolve the same.

Thanks in advance.

There is known issue in Ambari 2.2 which is addressed in latest versions. Try restarting Ambari server as below and then check:

ambari-server restart

Hi Sindhu, Thanks for your reply.

Is there any option to restart via UI? since am not using ssh to access the env.

The ambari-server restart is to be done from the command line, there is no UI option for the same.
