Failing to start the server .

Hello Team ,

After installation when i try to start the server using service cloudera-scm-server start

I get the below error

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Could not load requested class : com.mysql.jdbc.Driver.

What should i do to rectify ?

Hello,

 

It sounds as if CM cannot locate the mysql connector.  Check out the following:

 

http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/CM5/latest/Cloudera-Manager-Installat...

 

Specifically this section may be useful:

"Installing the MySQL JDBC Connector"
