Should I schedule processes using Zeppelin or Oozie, or by another tool?

You may want to look at using the new Ambari Workflow Manager tool to help make working with Oozie easier. There is a fantastic series of tutorials here: https://community.hortonworks.com/articles/82964/getting-started-with-apache-ambari-workflow-design....

Adding to the above: Workflow Manager has become GA with Ambari 2.5+. Prior to that it was tech preview in Ambari 2.4.x. If you are using a previous version, either upgrade your Ambari (which may be done independantly of HDP) or use Oozie directly.
