can't get installer to start, SELinux issue

getting message "SELinux is enabled. It must be disabled t oinstall and use this product."

I checked with sestatus and seliux is in "permissive" mode. to make sure, I did a "setenforce 0" as indicated in the documentation.

Does it need to be disabled in the in the config file + a server reboot in order for the installer to start?

Set selinux to disabled, reboot. you can set back to permissive after install.

(yes the reboot after changing selinux config is necessary)
