i would like to know...when using a real clusters of many servers, how the regions servers will function

also in hbase what are the minimum number of servers required.

Note that for HDP version 2.5 and going forward, the "Cluster Capacity and Region Sizing" section that is the target of the v 2.3 link above is in a different location. You can now find the information in section 2.2 of Deploying Apache HBase. The documentation there has been polished and centralized with other general HBase information.
