When Altering hive bucketed table to add new columns this error has appeared

FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask. Unable to alter table. Exception thrown flushing changes to datastore

Any Help?

issue is more generic. have we have complete stacktrace to see the root cause?
