Hello, All!

I am sorry if the questions seems stupid, but I am a newbie.

Is it possible to install cloudera on premises free trial version for on a single laptop for learning purposes?

Or i need a cluster of laptops to be able to run cloudera and hadoop services?

Unfortunately the pre-requisite states "multiple interconnected linux machine" for on-prem private cloud.

Quoting from doc:

Pre-requisites: Creating a Cloudera Base on premises cluster requires multiple, Internet-connected Linux machines. For details please see the CDP system requirements.

If you have a beefy laptop with multiple VM's installed, then that can be used.

However we have demo  cluster for different DataServices in public cloud. Link is https://www.cloudera.com/products/cloudera-public-cloud-trial.html

This link covers a demo on installing Cloudera Base on AWS: https://www.cloudera.com/services-and-support/tutorials/how-to-create-a-cdp-private-cloud-base-devel...
