Does Ranger provide any method to create access Permissions and policy for Linux directories (Edge Node)? Currently we are using Ranger to create policies for HDFS and other hadoop services.

Ranger only manage HDFS filesystem authorization. For OS Linux directories you need to use - Linux ACL's
