I did check with @Tim Hall and its confirmed

adding @Tim Hall

Hadoop doesn't work properly on Power parts; various outstanding JIRAs related to porting the native code. IBMs not put in any real effort to address those or testing it —and until then worrying about HDP support is moot.

@yjiang

Apologies for the delay in responding and thanks for your interest for HDP on Power Systems.

Hortonworks and IBM are working on the release, which I hope will be available towards the end of this year.

It's possible to get involved as an early adopter if this is of interest to you?

There's also a webinar covering this topic later this month, details below:

Hi @Mustafa Kemal MAYUK

I believe so. When I last checked IBM & Hortonworks are working on a release which is expected towards the end of the year. IBM are working with early adopters, would this be of interest to you?

I'm out of the office with customers today, but will check and advise any change early next week.

There's also the webinar coming up soon ...
