Does HDP support running on IBM Power Systems Servers (ppc64) under RHEL operating system?

Hadoop doesn't work properly on Power parts; various outstanding JIRAs related to porting the native code. IBMs not put in any real effort to address those or testing it —and until then worrying about HDP support is moot.

I believe so. When I last checked IBM & Hortonworks are working on a release which is expected towards the end of the year. IBM are working with early adopters, would this be of interest to you?
I'm out of the office with customers today, but will check and advise any change early next week.
