Does HDP support running on IBM Power Systems Servers (ppc64) under RHEL operating system?

no we are not supporting ppc architecture.

Hadoop doesn't work properly on Power parts; various outstanding JIRAs related to porting the native code. IBMs not put in any real effort to address those or testing it —and until then worrying about HDP support is moot.

Hortonworks and IBM are working on the release, which I hope will be available towards the end of this year.
It's possible to get involved as an early adopter if this is of interest to you?
