HDFS commands not working in command line.

Hi,

I have installed cloudera VMWare .While working on the machine i have opened comman line and typed there hdfs dfs i am getting correct result . But while seeing result for hdfs dfs -ls  ia m geting nothing .Same for hadoop -ls.

Can please help me on this i am new to this.

I had such situation after upgrade.

Using Cloudera Manager I add HDFS Gateway roles on hosts where I wanted to use hdfs command. After that hdfs command started to run properly.
