Hi

We've an existing HDP cluster with version 2.6.5.0-292 with Ranger service setup. Will this Ranger work with MySql 8.4 (without upgrading HDP itself)? From the documentation, it looks like it doesn't but wanted to confirm.

Hi @namteen HDP 2.6.5 Ranger is tested and officially certified with MySQL 5.1. While it may be possible to use MySQL 8.4, please note that this version has not been tested or certified by Cloudera.

If you wish to proceed, we recommend trying the setup on a test cluster
