I'm on Cloudera v6.2 and the Kafka service is down due to a "offline partitions".
Problem is that the error will not clear. So, now I'm looking for a method of deleting these offline partitions.
The error, as it presents itself in Cloudera Commander is:
under the "offline partitions test"... "there are 66 offline partitions"
- subsequently, we are unable to write to the "broken" topics at this point...
So, the solution (as I see it) is to simply clear the partitions.
Has anybody encountered this issue and can offer a workaround or solution?
Thanks.

Found a work-around.
Solution is to cleanup the partitions manually.
