Install hue in HDP 2.3.2

Hi,

I am confused about hue ..

1.This link says have to use hue which shipped with HDP 2.3.2 .

2.When I google it I get this link

Which option is correct ?

Would really appreciate if somebody can helps me with the steps ?

My cluster is on EC2 having RHEL .

You can find an installation guide for Hue on this page http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP2/HDP-...

The first link you mentioned is part of our upgrade guide, since you are trying to install hue from scratch you should use the link above.

The second link you mentioned is talking about installing the official/latest Hue version. Even though it might be possible to install this version, we have not tested it and parts of it might not work. Please use our latest documentation to install Hue.

I tried to use HDP2.2, 2.3 and install Hue follow your instruction (the link you provided)

Some error found:

1. HCatalog issue: In import hdfs data to create table, it always hangs for nothing process

2. Hive issue: Query results page show nothing for all completed queries.

I also tried hue3 (the latest version) follow on this page in HDP2.2, 2.3

having some issues:

1. Pig job always hangs and show 0%, nothing return

2. Hive returns query but in the job browser (running job status remains RUNNING)
