Is upstream issue HDFS-8298 fixed ?

I am using CDH 5.16.1 and I hit the issue HDFS-8298 as discussed in the below link

Can someone let me know if this is yet fixed in any of the CDH versions?

Hi @tuk,

It will only get backported into CDH after it has been fixed upstream. Since it is still open, and no solution is provided, CDH won't have the fix either.
