Someone please explain me this

While trying to create a topic using PuTTY in Kafka via partition, I kept on getting the error "replication factor: 1 larger than available brokers: 0" . But when I switched to the root user and made the same command, suddenly the topic indeed was made and I have no errors.

Hello @pranoy,

It may be possible that the user you are using to log in initially does not have access to some of the configuration files you use in the Kafka command and it's not able to get live brokers hence facing this issue. 

You should check the details you are using in the Kafka command and user privileges.
