Writing Articles: How to stop this app from auto creating links from urls in source code blocks?

avatar
Super Guru

I am trying to write a new article, but when I put code boxes into the article, every save changes any urls to <a link tags.  Then another save does same thing to the link text, and ends up trashing the content.

Can anyone help?

Thank you for reporting this @stevenmatison .

I tested this out and was able to recreate the issue. I pasted in one of your URLS (http://public-repo-1.hortonworks.com/ambari/centos7/2.x/updates/2.7.3.0/ambari.repo) into an article a few ways to see how they would be saved.

It appears that when added to the article without using the insert/edit code function the text becomes hyperlinked as expected. However when using the function it is converted into HTML. I'll need to investigate further on what is causing this.

In the meantime, a work around would be to select preformatted text style instead of insert/edit code.

This would give you the appearance of the code box without the conversion of links to HTML.

here is a single link from a repo command after just 3 saves:
