I can see log.dirs=/kafka-log in ambari but I am not clear what types of logs are in /varlog/kafka ?
or in other way is there difference types of logs available inside /var/log/kafka and /kafka-logs ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Anurag:
The files under /kafka-logs are the actual data files used by Kafka. They aren't the application logs for the Kafka brokers.
The files under /var/log/kafka are the application logs for the brokers.
Thank you,
Jeff Groves
