Not yet, but it coming. Latest release just announced can now handle HDF and HDP in same ambari instance. Here are the jira's to give you perspective, the multi cluster ambari depends on the multi-everything-architecture - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-14714 ambari jira - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-20466

I had the same problem due to proxy. I fixed it by adding proxy=_none_ in repo files in /etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo and hdf.repo.

@Lorenzo Tenti @Sami Ahmad You are correct. The link you provided is the latest. So no, there's no kerberos for now. However, according to our certification team, this will change in the near future. I recommend you revisit the link again as you get closer to your exam date to make sure you are up to date on the requirements.

@Sami Ahmad I tried your config and the ResourceManager's logs show error: "Illegal capacity of -1.0 for queue root.Support". Support is defined in root.queues, but it's capacity is undefined. If you fixed that (add yarn.scheduler.capacity.root.Support.capacity) the next problem will be, that the sum of the capacities of any queue's child queues must be 100%. In your case, root.Marketing + root.Engineering = 200%. Try the following: yarn.scheduler.capacity.root.Engineering.capacity=40
yarn.scheduler.capacity.root.Marketing.capacity=40
yarn.scheduler.capacity.root.Support.capacity=20
or any other 3 numbers that add up to 100. If you fix this too, your config will be valid:

Hello Sami, Great question and apologies for the confusion. The answer is, both are true. Since we only have 2 hours for the exam, we aren't able to test everything that is listed in the PDF, however the PDF contains tasks which a candidate should be proficient at in order to successfully pass the exam. So to be more specific, any task in the PDF is something that can possibly be asked during the certification, but we are not able to publicly state which those are since this is an exam. This means that the best way to be prepared for the exam, is to make sure you are familiar with each task in the PDF, even though potentially only half of them will be tested on during the exam. I hope that clears up the confusion and good luck on your certification!

If you read the exception, it clearly says what is wrong: NoSuchColumnFamilyException:Column family id does not exist in You have to have a column family in the mapping of column id. Also, I'm not sure whether using >8 column families is the right design. Unless you really know that you need column familiies for the IO pattern, just stick to one. Enis
