Hi @Rog Fe de Leon , If you select the new MYSQL database , ambari will install the mysql Packages. but it again depends on the operating systems you use. sometimes if the repo is not available it might fail too. can you mention whats the operating system you are planning to install hive ? additionaly some mannual steps you might need to perform too : https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.6.2.2/bk_ambari-administration/content/using_hive_with_mysql.html

There can be situation where you are adding a Host in Ambari and the Add Host Wizard is stuck in UI with message : Please wait while the hosts are being checked for potential problems It will be tougher for you to proceed as next button will be disabled and you migt need to wait indefinitely for the Host to respond. To analyze what happened. We might need to look on ambari-agent hosts and ambari-server logs. As usually this Host checking will take longer we can actually skip the same using the Ambari experimental Wizards Disabling HostCheck On AddHost Wizard Steps 1) navigate in another Tab to URL : http://<AMBARI-SERVER>:8080/#/experimental 2) Tick on 'disableHostCheckOnAddHostWizard' checkbox and save it : 3) Close the Add Host Wizard using close button in UI and retry the same operation again. Note : Please note this article is not applicable on Ambari-2.7.0 and higher versions.

Hi @Yuma I , currently Ambari can Only Manage the HDF which is intalled by Ambari. If you have installed Nifi Without Help of ambari. it will be tough to get the Ambari to manage your NIFI instance. You can install a HDP-3.1.2 ( NIFI-1.5) referring to this doc : https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDF3/HDF-3.1.2/index.html and then plan for migrating NIFI flows .

Hi @Shraddha Singh, can you please confirm if your ambari-server can resolve the hostname of your newly added hosts . [root@asnaik1 ~]# cat /etc/hosts|grep -i ip-172-31-6-255.us-east-2.compute.internal if not please add the Hosts and IP's in /etc/hosts to resolve your hostname in tables (like this ) , add this same entries in all other Agent nodes. then retry the installation. [root@asnaik1 ~]# cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.26.168.1 asnaik10.openstacklocal
192.26.168.2 asnaik11.openstacklocal
192.26.168.3 asnaik19.openstacklocal Plase see if this is helpfull

Hi @Lanic
It looks like you have some repository that's causing the issue.
Can you trying doing a
yum repolist
and see if there exists any repo that is not actually added by you and delete those repo entries by backing up and moving those entries to tmp folder
mv /etc/yum.repos.d/myREpo.repo /tmp/
then execute the yum repolist command again.
Also, try to run: 'yum clean all' then 'yum update' and see if any of these helps
