Just to add to this article, sandbox.hortonworks.com needs to be mapped to the ip address of the sandbox virtual machine. Typically out of the box, the VirtualBox version uses the loop back ip 127.0.0.1 vs. the Vmware image provides an IP generated dependent on the network vm settings configured. Thus, if you don't have sandbox.hortonworks.com in your hosts file on your machine, use the ip address instead such as http://127.0.0.1:4200

Hi Jonas, I checked the sandbox on latest version, by default we use a min container of 250MB and max container 2250MB.

Hi Jose, As others have mentioned, we recommend to use the Azure Sandbox offering in the Marketplace. Any specific reason why you want to run the sandbox VM within another VM? I have run to this issue in the past accidentally (not with HDP sandbox) and after reading posts of others trying it doesn't seem possible especially if you don't have control of the Infra. To get a final answer, I suggest reaching out to the Azure support team. Regards, Robert

Hi @yan Adiputra, can you give the VM runs best with 8GB allocated to it. If you have 8GB total for your machine, try giving the VM about 6GB.

Hi @Avraha Zilberman, what machine did you choose for Sandbox offering on Azure A4? Also, I would like to suggest if you can edit your previous posting of the error and just have a small snippet of the error stack and put the full log in a file. It will prevent having to scroll down to get to the next post.

Also the splash screen's advance section should have a direct link to Zeppelin view as well Splash screen can be accessed by <sandbox ip address>:8888
