------ I also tried with "export HIVE_CONF_DIR=/etc/hive/2.4.0.0-169/0" before input the command but the problem persist, as you can see it reads the configuration and is able to get user so I think it's reading the config file. Any clue about what is happening? Thank you in advance

Hello @Predrag Minovic, Maybe an encryption problem with the ticket between the kdc and AD, try creating it with the following command addprinc -e "aes256-cts:normal aes128-cts:normal des3-hmac-sha1:normal arcfour-hmac:normal des-hmac-sha1:normal des-cbc-md5:normal des-cbc-crc:normal" krbtgt/HDP-NET.COM@PQR-NET.COM Also check your /etc/krb5.conf and check that you have an entry for "PQR-NET.COM" and is correctly configured.

Hi @John Ross Tasipit Services are started by ambari-sudo.sh, and if you see /etc/shadow these users don't have any password. So you shouldn't have to set the password anywhere. But if you enable security in the cluster and you want to have these passwords for kinit, you will have to manually create all services keytabs instead of the keytab generated by ambari which have random keys.

@Huahua Wei I had this issue after upgrade from Ambari 2.2.0 and also tried the solution from https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/48107/ambari-metrics-collector.html In my case the hbase data of metrics collector got corrupt I had to delete all the contents of /var/lib/ambari-metrics-collector/hbase/ Try the following: Stop ambari metrics. Backup the contents of /var/lib/ambari-metrics-collector/hbase/ Delete them with rm -rf /var/lib/ambari-metrics-collector/hbase/* Start ambari metrics. I hope this help

07 Feb 2017 17:01:17,620 WARN [ambari-client-thread-33] ServletHandler:561 - Error Processing URI: /api/v1/clusters/test/services - (org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DatabaseException)
This is happening since I installed grafana following the documentation instructions. I tried to install ranger with ambari but I couldn't and I had to use the same method that with grafana to do this. But now I'm trying to kerberize the cluster and there is no way to do it. I started using ambari 2.2 and upgraded to 2.4.1 before this error started. I use Mysql as Database. Any clue of how to solve this? Thank you in advance
