Hi @Daggers , Based on the public doc here: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/release-notes/topics/cm_rn_new_changed_features.html It says: Table and partition-level column statistics stored in the Hive metastore and used by Impala are now replicated during Hive Replication. This is supported between a replication source with Cloudera Manager running version 5.10 or higher and a replication target running Cloudera Manager 5.10 or higher. Because this change replicates more information, the same schedule may take more time to complete if column statistics are present. Thanks and hope this helps. Li

Hi @manu_009 , Sorry for my late reply, I was out the office for few days. It looks like you are using older CM versions (5.x) where the scm_prepare_database.sh script resides in different location. Please run this command instead: /usr/share/cmf/schema/scm_prepare_database.sh mysql cm cm Documention to reference is here: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-16-x/topics/prepare_cm_database.html Thanks, Li

Hi @manu_009 , I would suggest you do these steps to troubleshoot it: 1) make a backup file for /etc/cloudera-scm-server/db.properties 2) trying to run below command to test connection to the cm database: /opt/cloudera/cm/schema/scm_prepare_database.sh mysql cm cm https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/6.2/topics/prepare_cm_database.html#cmig_topic_5_2 The above command will recreate db.properties file. 3) See if step 2 works or not. If not, please tell us what is the error. Thanks, Li

Hi @manu_009 , From the log error snippet: Exception in thread "MainThread" javax.persistence.PersistenceException: org.hibernate.exception.JDBCConnectionException: Could not open connection It looks like there is an issue for Cloudera Manager to reach to its database. Is the log file /var/log/cloudera-scm-server/cloudera-scm-server.out timestamp up to date? If so, I suggest you checking the database status. 1. Open the file /etc/cloudera-scm-server/db.properties 2. Examine the file and get the database details 3. Try to log in to the database using the credential and see if the db connection is working. Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @BiggieSmalls , The error message: Error([('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE', 'certificate verify failed')],) usually means Hue is not setup with the certificate correctly. Can you please follow this documentation to set up the Hue certificate and see if that helps? https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/latest/topics/cm_sg_ssl_hue.html#concept_vnj_lmd_s4__d3391023e69 Thanks, Li

@balkrishna , I wonder if you have upgraded or applied any patches before you notice the issue? There is a new action - Install YARN MapReduce Framework JARs added under YARN service in Cloudera Manager. Each (rolling) upgrade or patch application requires a re-run of the the action to install a new archive (compressed tar). It will not happen automatically as part of the upgrade or patch. You may want to give that a try: CM->Yarn->Actions->Click on "Install YARN MapReduce Framework JARs". Thanks and hope this helps, Li

Hi @VijayM , Could you please check if there are any updated logs under /var/run/cloudera-scm-agent/process/xxx-cloudera-mgmt-NAVIGATORMETASERVER/logs where xxx is the latest/highest number. Usually you will find the stdout and stderr log from that folder to give you some advices on why the role can not start. Thanks and hope this helps, Li
