I m trying to install hdp 2.5 in my cluster , I lanched the wizard Ambari 2.5 and everythings was okey untill Ambari gets to installing services and in the last part of installation I got this error of permissions with zeppelin notebook: raise ExecutionFailed(err_msg, code, out, err) resource_management.core.exceptions.ExecutionFailed: Execution of 'echo spark_version:1.6 detected for spark_home: /usr/hdp/current/spark-client >> /var/log/zeppelin/zeppelin-setup.log' returned 1. su: warning: cannot change directory to /home/zeppelin: Permission denied -bash: /home/zeppelin/.bash_profile: Permission denied -bash: /var/log/zeppelin/zeppelin-setup.log: Permission denied I tried to create this directories /var/log/zeppelin and associte permission to user zeppelin but I still get the same error. what should I do??

I fix the problem by reinstalling ambari agent manuelly : yum remove ambari-agent yum install ambari-agent I think that Ambari couldn't remove and install ambari agent if it is not installed correctly at the first time. so it works manually

I tried all of these before, everything is doing well, I can log in to it just fine without password. but i didn't know why the ambari agent is not installed like it had to.

I'm trying to setup the Ambari agent in each node in my cluster and it works fine for almost all my nodes unless one, when I try to retray the Ambari wizard to fix the problem for this one I get this error: ========================== Running setup agent script... ========================== Command start time 2017-12-01 14:52:13 Server error attempting a GET to /rhsm/ returned status 503 Repository HDP-UTILS-1.1.0.21 is listed more than once in the configuration sed: can't read /etc/ambari-agent/conf/ambari-agent.ini: No such file or directory ('', None) So obviously this error means therer is no ambari-agent installed in this machine, so I verified if the agent is installed or not with "yum repolist ambari-agent" it replays that the service is already installed: Installed Packages ambari-agent.x86_64 2.5.1.0-159 @ambari-2.5.1.0 and when I tried to install "yum install ambari-agent", I could not, also there is No directory called /etc/ambari-agent/ I thought about reinstall the ambari agent for this node but I m not sure if this is going to be the good decision. what should I do??

when I start configuring My Ambari server, I put the port (3306): 8080, but I realize later that this port is the wrong port, so I restart My set up of My ambari service from scratch (sudo service ambari server setup) but i get this error when I want to start the service: DB configs consistency check: no errors and warnings were found. ERROR: Exiting with exit code 1. REASON: Server not yet listening on http port 8080 after 50 seconds. Exiting.<br> it seems like the 8080 port still exists. How can I Force the change?

I have done the configuration HA for YARN, I followed the wisard in enable ResourceManager HA to enable the nameode and Snamenode. and for some raison I cancel the wizard in the last step, I thought I can done it again later. I'm trying to install hdp in my cluster, so i'm now struggling with this problem, so here is the output: ........................................ ............................................................................. File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/resource_management/core/source.py", line 51, in __call__ return self.get_content() File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/resource_management/core/source.py", line 75, in get_content raise Fail("{0} Source file {1} is not found".format(repr(self), path)) resource_management.core.exceptions.Fail: StaticFile('/etc/hbase/conf/hbase-site.xml') Source file /etc/hbase/conf/hbase-site.xml is not found by the way, my zeppelin is going to be installed in edge node and the hbase is goingg to be duplicate in master node 1 and 2. there is no folder call "hbase" in edge node path (/etc) but when i made a search in my master node i found it. so, what do i have to do to fix this problem???

thanks you @Sonu Sahi for replaying, i think that's the issue is fixed other way and it works fine with the both services on the same machine.

I think that i found the solution: when i started the ambari installation, I stupidly change the default password which is bigdata to an other So when the server goes to start it retrieve the password which is inside /etc/ambari-server/conf/password.dat in order to connect to Mysql which is obviously not the same. I forced the change of the password in the path: /etc/ambari-server/conf/password.dat and then it works fine thanks @Jay Kumar SenSharma

I'm struggling to (with) starting server Ambari (check out the probleme), I wonder if the probleme can be caused by the server itself since the the Ambari and Mysql are hosted in the same server!! any suggestion is appreciated
