Please note that keystores/truststores need to be in standard JCEKS format and the documentation does not state otherwise. PKCS12 is only used for exporting and converting certificate plus private key to PEM format for CM agent config. Can you please point to the sentence suggesting PKCS12 format so that we can correct it?

Sorry for being unclear but the command needs to have the full path including the actual filename as specified in config.ini for client_key_file and client_keypw_file

This shows the client_key_file settings are fine, please also verify that the CM agent can access the files referenced as client_key_file and client_key_file in /etc/cloudera-scm-agent/config.ini, e.g. with command namei -l <path-to-file-name>

The CM agent package version installed on this host (5.15.1) does not match the version of the CM server (5.15.0). This is likely due to different YUM repo configuration provided on both hosts, see /etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo You can either specify the 5.15.0 version in yum configuration file when adding the cluster node, alternatively upgrade CM server to 5.15.1 instead. see https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-15-x/topics/configure_cm_repo.html#cm_repo__section_gsx_ydw_wm

CM API request is an authenticated request to CM server which will be audit logged. One option for you may be to use a dedicated username for your CM API queries, and filter out this username in your query filter.

By default no custom alert script is used, this has to be explicitly configured. Is alert email delivery or SNMP alerting not sufficient for your use case? See https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5/latest/topics/cm_dg_alerts.html Alternatively you can use the CM API to query events, a query filter like "alert==true" will retrieve only those events which are tagged as alert. For more info how to use the CM API please see http://cloudera.github.io/cm_api/ https://archive.cloudera.com/cm6/6.0.0/generic/jar/cm_api/apidocs/resource_EventsResource.html

Spark2 now comes bundled with CDH thus for CDH 6.0 you are tied to the Spark 2.2 release. You will not be able to install Spark 2.3 separately. Please be aware you are facing a transitional issue from separate Spark2 distribution to CDH distribution. Future CDH versions will update Spark2 releases accordingly to the latest versions, thus this situation would not appear anymore. If Spark 2.3 is a requirement we recommend to wait for the C6.1 release instead.
