AKH, While Mahout does not show as an installed service like Hive or Hbase, the Mahout libraries are included in CDH 5. >From a bash shell you can enter "mahout" and it will return the available Mahout commands. Further you can execute a bash "locate mahout" command and you will see the mahout parcels. I originally tried installing the Mahout packages and the Cloudera Manager, generated error messages, as it was already in a installed parcel, thus I uninstalled the packages. The documentation on the Cloudera web site is incorrect, please do not follow it. So in the end there is nothing you must do as it is already in the distro. I hope this helps. Very sorry for not responding earlier even though the solution given by you had sorted out my problem and fsck ran without any errors and reported healthy cluster. My only grievance is why should Cloudera manager show a RED icon and inform us of unreplicated blocks even though the machine is single. Thanks for help. (Another reason for not responding earlier is that the Cloudera forum requires at least eight letter password with a combination of letters and digits. That makes remembering password more difficult unlike other forums. I had to create a password each time I logged in. This time I have stored it on my machine. )

Well I solved this problem by using Cloudera manager's web-interface (ar localhost:7180). Clicked Sqoop service and then Configuration and then Ports and addresses. I changed the port from 8005 to 8051, saved changes, and restarted squoop through Cloudera manager.
