There is no password in Hue's version, and it has nothing to do with query redaction, I would recommend to report it to the MapR forum as this look like they did some custom changes.

Hue's focus is the Editor, which is generic and can also be in "Notebook" mode and have any snippets like Hive, Impala, Java, Sqoop, PySpark etc..., but there is not big focus on Spark itself currently: http://gethue.com/sql-editor/

In current implementation of S3 Browser in Hue, there is no impersonation, so everybody has the credentials of the S3 keys given to Hue. This is why the feature is only for Hue Admin or requires a special Hue permissions. In the future, a proper impersonation will be provided, but this is not provided by S3 yet.
