Were you checking /etc/hadoop/conf? Restart oozie and then find the running process directory under /var/run/cloudera-scm-agent/process. Check the hdfs-site.xml under it to ensure it is set to 2 as well.

Did you search as 'open-ssl' or 'openssl'? The package names needs to be precise. Can you try to install the CM agent again to see if it still complains about this dependency? I have never had to have it installed until I implement TLS for CM Agents.

So your repo would state that it is for RHEL 6. The commands are the same. Do you have the base RHEL 6 repo available?

I am pretty sure that http and mod-ssl will be install as a dependency of the others. From the repolist command: rhui-REGION-rhel-server-releases Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7 (RPMs) It should be part of the base OS repository. If that repo is present try enabling using the command posted earlier.

Check the env var for hive.session.silent and just silent. Mine are false and off for both. Also try launching beeline with --silent=false switch to see if that forces to out and to see if it is not logger related.

oh wow, I think I confirmed it in CDH 5.8.2 on RHEL 7.1. Is this a related log entry? Both are managed by CM? Can you track down the current process directory on both and compare the configs? The log settings should be in a log4j.properties file in the process config directory.
