I am able to find the solution, I was running Ranger admin on host1 and Hiveserver on host2 and i created the admin OS account in host1 but not in host2(where hive server is running). Creating the admin account and its group (hdpmasters) in host2 resolved this issue. I guess Ambari views might need the OS account/ Group to be present on the server where the service(being accessed by view) is installed.

Recently ran into same issue where we were getting alerts for all the UIs. The root cause ended up being the times on the nodes were not correct. After fixing the time and restarting ambari server/agents and all services, the alerts went away

Hi Hdave , You should pickup one tool at a time. for example take Hive. Below are high level steps. 1. Upload your csv files from your local system to HDFS file system. Hint : Use PUT command 2. Launch hive - Hint - Beeline 3. Create hive table as per CSV columns. 4. Load CSV file into table. 5. Query table from HIVE CLI or Beeline.
