@Mehul Shah No problem. At the bottom of every answer is a line that says:
Simply click on "Accept" under the answer that helped resolve your issue.
As a future note, avoid adding new answers as responses to other answers. Responses should be made as comments so that it is one continuous thread for other users searching for answers to the same issue. Thanks again, Matt

Hi @Arsalan Siddiqi , yes, this is what I expected for Putty. By using the Putty configuration dialogue as shown in your screenshot, you ALREADY have an ssh connection to the guest VM, so typing `ssh` in the Putty terminal window is unnecessary and `scp` won't work -- instead of asking the host OS to talk to the guest OS, you would be asking the guest OS to talk to itself! I'm glad `pscp` (in a cmd window) worked for you -- and thanks for accepting the answer. Your last question, "why when i connect via Putty to root@127.0.0.1 p 2222 in windows and do a "dir" command, i see different folders as to when i do a DIR in virtualbox terminal??" is a puzzler. I would suggest, in each window (Putty terminal and Virtualbox terminal), you type the linux command `pwd`, which stands for "print working directory". It may be that the filesystem location you are ending up at login in the two tools is different. Also you can try the linux `ls` command.

It is in the interpreter setting page, make sure you are using zeppelin of HDP, community version of zeppelin doesn't have this feature.

Hi @Shishir Jaiswal, Assuming HDP components on the Edge nodes such as clients and Knox then mixed versions are not supported. Knox for example only supports specific versions of an Hadoop service (see section 2.8.1.2 in http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP2/HDP-2.5.0/bk_security/bk_security-20160829.pdf). Mixed OS versions do most times not affect things as long as it's fullfil all requirements around libraries, JVM versions etc. /Best regards, Mats

Hi @Ron Buckley, The drivers that Hortonworks distributes are made by Simba, and Hortonworks only distributes some of the platforms that are supported by the driver. AIX is supported by the same driver you already use, and you can obtain this driver from Simba directly, although note that we don't distribute this via our website. You can contact us at "solutions @ simba.com" and we'd be happy to help you out. Cheers, Kyle

Sounds ok as long as you continue to use /usr/hdp as the directory path for the new drive and shut down the cluster/node while doing the change.

Hi @Mats Johansson, if you use Ranger for lineage, like who did what and when to certain files or tables or databases, then have to be careful what are you deleting. You can then go for more restrictive deletions from the Audit DB if you want to keep on using it to browse the lineage. Or delete from Range DB after 1 or 2 months but keep all data in HDFS. To reduce the amount of audit data, you can also revisit your security policies and disable audit on policies which are not critical. Also, a new version of Atlas is coming, which will work together with Ranger to provide more cool features for lineage.
