Hi, The Secondary NameNode (SNN) checkpoint directory at /tmp/hadoop/hdfs/namesecondary is filling up tmp and I would like to move it. What is the best way to do this? Also once moved, can I just RM -R all data in the old directory or do I need to copy it over? Thanks,

@Wes Floyd If your hbase columns are already created. You can just use double quotes around the column name (e.g. "clicks"."millisecs_to_serv_rqst")

I have had multiple clients comment that Ambari's JMX integration is very helpful as it allows them to create custom widgets to better monitor particular services/applications.

Just furthering adding to what Deepesh and Ali said - Create Hive views that would filter out rows and then use Ranger to grant that user access to that View (and not the underlying table).
