Hi all, I had faced the same issue while kerberizing a HDP 3.1.0 cluster integrated with Iislon. The Ambari serer is a built on a Postgres DB cluster, hence it was NOT in the hadoop cluster. so it was NOT on the host list. [root@hdpdb ~]# curl -H "X-Requested-By: ambari" -u admin:admin "http://hdpdb.gz.local:8080/api/v1/clusters/Panyu/hosts" I had to add the ambari server from adding host wizard and just install the clients. It worked around the "Host not found, hostname= xxxx" issue in my case. Hope it will help, cheer!

@Tom Burke It may be browser caching issue. So please try this: 1. Open the Web Browser in "Private Mode" (In Firefox) or "Incognito Mode" (in Chrome) and then try again. 2. If still you face the same issue then please try this to edit the "/etc/ambari-server/ambari.properties" file and then unset the value of the following two properties: FROM ------ http.strict-transport-security=max-age=31536000 views.http.strict-transport-security=max-age=31536000 TO ------ http.strict-transport-security=max-age= views.http.strict-transport-security=max-age= The restart ambari-server and then try accessing the UI again # ambari-server restart .

abandoning this effort. was not getting anywhere as I think the ldaps in corp.example.com and machein hostname setup was causing all my issues., it is not a preferred setup anyhow I needed to correct so i renamed all cluster membre with corp....

Thanks Again!
