When I set up the Amazon Instance I followed the directions on the Java Developer Practice Exam except for Network type (which I assume to be the problem), because Classic-EC2 was not an option for me, I just went forward with the only option that I had. When I'm on the instance Ambari shows lost heartbeat to all of the services and I cannot access the hdfs file system which gives me an Exception that the connection was lost to the namenode. ...
