@Harald Berghoff Thanks for replying. Yes, I have followed the link for integration but I am unable to see any metrics for the custom-exclamation storm topology. The blog says: The Hook currently does not support capturing lineage for custom spouts and bolts. Can you elaborate on this? Which DAG in storm default repo will be suitable to test the integration.

Hello , I have a doubt that How storm identifies that on rebalancing when spout should start emitting msgs. Say in case I gave a wait time of 0 (-w 0) then rebalance will start without pausing spout and msgs between will be lost. (Inflight msgs are lost but what about new incoming msgs ?) In short: How does spout confirms that all downstream bolts are ready to receive msgs after rebalance and spout should start emitting msgs?

topology.debug and setting log level to DEBUG are different. First one is logging debug information from Storm itself, and second one is logging DEBUG or lower levels. If it doesn't be logged, there might not about log level or so. (for example, just not reached there...)
