The error happens for larger file 300MB +. But I have experience uploading file > 5G as well.

I had done this in one of the node but forgot to perform this on all of the nodes. It works seemlessly.

The problem I encountered was : The following 6 host component(s) have not been upgraded to version 1.1.5.0-235. Please install and upgrade the Stack Version on those hosts and try again. Host components: Can you please help? Many thanks in advance.

Spark 2.0 is coming as technical preview on HDP 2.5. You can also try it now with Hortonworks cloud, See this blog

ls -l /var/lib/ambari-agent/data/structured-out-status.json showed that the file had zero (0) bytes Resolving the problem renamed the file to structured-out-status.json.old stopped and restarted ambari-agent on that node from : http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21976343
